Therapy that goes further..

Personalized, evidence-based therapy that helps you move beyond understanding and into real, lasting change.

You know what's wrong. You just still feel stuck.

A lot of clients come in saying some version of the same thing: "Logically I know this, but emotionally I still feel stuck." Cognitive insight is important, but lasting change happens when emotional experiences are processed at a deeper level.

At Shiloh, we take a personalized, client-centered approach. We look at the whole picture: family dynamics, trauma, relationships, and the life circumstances that contribute to how you're feeling. The goal isn't just symptom management. It's helping you work through the core issues and come out the other side.

Meet Our Team

At Shiloh Mental Health, we believe therapy should go beyond simply managing symptoms or gaining insight. Our team takes a personalized, client-centered approach to help you better understand what’s beneath the surface and work through the experiences, emotions, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

We recognize that everyone’s story is different. Family dynamics, relationships, trauma, and life circumstances can all shape how we experience the world, and our therapists bring their own expertise and perspectives to help you navigate those challenges.

How It Works

1

Tell us what's
going on

Book a free 20-minute consultation and share what brought you in. There's no prep needed and no right way to start. This is just a conversation about where you are and where you want to be.

2

We look at the
full picture

Your struggles don't exist in a vacuum. We look at what's driving them: family dynamics, relationships, past experiences, life circumstances. Not just the symptoms on the surface, but the core issues underneath.

3

Do the
real work

A lot of therapy stops after receiving insight. We go further into the emotional processing that helps you actually move through what’s keeping you stuck. You won’t do it alone, and you don’t have to do it perfectly”

4

Build
from it

As you progress, we adjust. The goal isn't to just feel better temporarily. It's lasting, meaningful change that integrates into your actual life.

I was very skeptical about seeing a therapist at first. A friend of mine recommended this place and I was not disappointed. Very professional staff and I feel more than satisfied with the experience I received. 10/10 will continue to go.

Frequently Asked Questions

You do not need a diagnosis to start therapy. Many people choose to start therapy simply because something feels off, life feels that it is more difficult than it should be, or they are wanting to grow. There is no requirement to have a previous diagnosis.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It's a way to process trauma, anxiety, phobias, and negative beliefs through bilateral stimulation, typically through eye movements or alternating vibrating paddles. It may be right for you if you have unresolved trauma or memories that still feel distressing.

We accept most major insurance plans. A co-pay is typically around $25 per session, but check with your insurance for your exact co-pay. Our cash rate is $150 per session, and we will provide a superbill if requested. We offer a free 20-minute consultation to help you decide if we're a good fit.

All three provide mental health support, but the training and scope are different. Therapists and counselors (like LCSWs, MFTs, and CMHCs) hold master's degrees and are licensed to provide psychotherapy. Psychologists hold doctoral degrees and can conduct psychological testing along with providing psychotherapy. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can prescribe medication. At Shiloh, we currently have therapists and counselors trained in both clinical therapy and understanding how larger systems like family, environment, and social context affect mental health.

Your first session is a conversation. We'll talk about what brought you in, what's going on in your life, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. We'll also walk through some standard paperwork and consent forms. From there, we'll put together a plan for how to work toward your goals.

With a trauma-informed lens, we at Shiloh believe that anxiety, depression, and sometimes relationship problems are symptoms of a deeper lying issue, often rooted in unresolved trauma. As you work together with your therapist to process your trauma, oftentimes the symptoms listed above do tend to diminish.

Yes. Our therapists have experience working with individuals experiencing faith transitions, faith crises, and religious concerns. Your therapist at Shiloh will not push any spiritual views on you. Our goal is to help you use your own strengths in navigating any issues around faith and spirituality.

You may benefit from therapy if you find yourself stuck in patterns of avoidance, people-pleasing, difficulty managing emotions, your emotional reactions don't match the situation, or you're experiencing disturbing or intrusive thoughts and memories. Our goal at Shiloh is to help you build a system of support outside of therapy for you to lean on, but if you feel you are not getting your needs met by talking with others, or you are speaking with multiple people about the same issues and not feeling the issue resolved, you may benefit from therapy.

Research has found that telehealth is roughly equivalent in effectiveness to in-person therapy. In-person has a slight edge due to enabling more treatment modalities and the client being able to experience therapy through additional senses. That said, telehealth is a great option for accessibility and convenience, and all of our services are available virtually.

Yes. We accept bishop pay and work with ecclesiastical leaders. Typically, we'll ask that you sign a release of information so we can communicate with them, but if you're not comfortable with that, we'll work with you to find another solution.

The number one factor for success in therapy is your relationship with your therapist. Finding the right therapist for trauma or couples therapy boils down to feeling like you have a good relationship with your therapist, you can trust them, and you believe they are competent and able to help you with whatever you are in therapy for. If you are wondering if a therapist at Shiloh would be a good fit, we offer a free 20-minute consultation, no commitment required.

Sessions are 50 to 60 minutes. We also offer a free 20-minute consultation if you want to see if we're a good fit before committing to a full session.
